Privacy policy

1. Who we are

2. Data we collect

We collect data that you or your firm provide so lawyers can manage practice work:

Account details: name, email, phone number, user ID, profile or organisation photo, firm details such as GST

Client, case, matter, hearing, task, note and calendar information, including addresses you type in

Files and photos you upload or scan (court papers, contracts, ID copies, drafts)

In-app messages and connected inbox channels (for example WhatsApp or Telegram)

Billing and payment records; card or UPI details are processed by Cashfree

Device identifiers used for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging token)

Optional microphone dictation to fill text fields; we store the recognised text, not an audio archive

We do not collect GPS or approximate device location. Calendar “location” is a text field you enter.

3. How we use data

We use this data to provide the service: sign-in and account management, case and document work, e-sign, billing, notifications, calendar sync you enable, and customer support. We do not sell user data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Sharing and processors

Supabase for the managed database, authentication and file storage

Resend for transactional email

Cashfree for payments

Firebase for push notifications

Google or Microsoft calendar, if you connect them

Messaging providers you connect for the inbox

Authorities, when required by law or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users

These providers process data only on our instructions to run the service.

5. Google user data

If you connect a Google account in Calendar settings, Just4Lawyer requests calendar.events (to sync hearings, tasks and meetings both ways with your primary calendar) and basic profile (your Google email and name). We do not access Gmail, Drive or Contacts. Google user data is used only for the sync you turn on, is never sold or used for advertising, and is never used to develop or train generalised AI or machine learning models. Tokens are encrypted at rest and deleted when you disconnect. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. AI features

The AI assistant runs on a self-hosted open-source model on our own infrastructure. It processes only the text you type and files you choose to upload. Google user data is never sent to it.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access inside a firm is controlled by roles and permissions. Use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep account and practice data while the account is active and as required by law. To delete your account and associated data, follow the delete-account page or write to us from your registered address. We complete email requests within 30 days, except information we must keep by law.
